Seattle vocalist, voice teacher, arts advocate. Lead singer of BEARAXE.

Inspired by the parallels between gospel and garbage metal, Shaina Shepherd is not your average vocalist. Living in the city where both Soundgarden and Quincy Jones cut their teeth, Shaina lends her soulful voice to projects of all genres.

“Vocalist Shaina Shepherd pushes her vocals past “soul” territory into “shreds,” like Sharon Jones fronting Mötley Crüe.” — Graham Issac, Nada Mucho

Shaina says: "Beautiful people BIG NEWS! Next Thursday, I’m sharing songs from my unreleased solo project for the first time ever....😬 I’m being featured by— an awesome rooftop series that highlights Seattle artists in the heart of CD. It’s going to be a fun night of intimate music, food, drink revelry, sunset dancing....and guess what? It’s FREE 😶

These songs are truly intimate expressions of love, loss and moving through pain. I’m really excited(nervous) to share them with you, but I’m also very proud to be taking this step as an artist — I hope you can make it!
